Mutuality
A mutual benefit is a shared benefit; a shared benefit will
endure.
效率
我们充分利用一切资源,绝不浪费,务求人尽其材、物尽其用。
Efficiency
We use resources to the full, waste nothing and do only what
we can do best.
自主
我们需要独立自主来塑造我们的未来;我们需要利润来保持独立自主。
Freedom
We need freedom to shape our future; we need profit to remain
free.

story, that I personally gone through, that demonstrate
how we Mars really practices the Five Principles. Particularly
close to my heart the principle of mutuality, it is not
more important, but it is really close to my heart. |
我希望能和大家分享一个小故事,这就发生在我身上。它很好地证明了我们玛氏公司如何在运用五大原则。这个故事是关于互惠原则的,并不代表互惠比其他原则更加重要,只不过这个故事让我更好的理解互惠的原则。
In August 2006, one of the market I assigned to manager,
Lebanon, there is a war in it. And we have been in the market
to make business to great presence. Through a relationship
with a distributor, there was more than 55 years. During that
war the distributor unfortunately lost its warehouse and most
of its infrastructure. I and the management team will face
the decision of which we will do to this distributor. Out
of the Mutuality principles, we put together a set of measures
which will help this distributor get very fast back to his
seat. We proposed this measure to our management in Mclean;
I have seen the support that I did not expect. We are praised
for thinking through the five principles, for practicing the
five principles. When we are glad to say we execute these
measures, this distributor is back on track, our business
is flourishing again.
在2006年的8月,在我任职的黎巴嫩,爆发了战争,但我们公司在那里还是需要保持非常优秀的表现。之前的55年中,我们都是通过某一家分销商来发展我们在当地的业务。但是在这次战争中,这家分销商不幸的失去了它的仓库和绝大部分的基础设施。我和我的管理层将面临如何处理这个棘手的问题。最终出于互惠的原则,我们决定和这分销商一同推出一系列的措施,来帮助它重整雄风。我们向美国总部汇报了此决定,出乎意料之外,我们得到了高度一致的支持。我们因为通过五大原则来思考问题,并很好地贯彻了而受到了高度的肯定和表扬。现在我们很高兴得看到通过我们的措施,这家分销商已经完全恢复,我们公司的业务也随之再次重新蓬勃发展起来。
And it really works out to be mutual.
This is the only one example of many examples in our businesses,
where Everyday our associate exercises the five principles
in the way we take decision and the way we behave.
这正是互惠原则的最好体现。其实在我们的业务中有很多这样子的例子,我们的同事每天也在不断贯彻五大原则,并利用它来做各种决定。
